When it comes to stuffing (or dressing, depending on where you’re from), I’ve never been a fan of the traditional kind. But let me tell you, my Grandma June’s easy recipe is in a league of its own.
It’s the one stuffing even my kids will eat without complaint! This recipe is so good, you don’t even need to stuff it in a turkey—it bakes perfectly in a 9×13 casserole dish. The result? A golden, flavorful dish that’s crispy on top and moist on the inside. Whether you’re team stuffing or team dressing, Grandma June’s version is about to win you over.
Grandma June's Stuffing
Ingredients
- 2 pounds pork sausage
- 1 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of water or broth for added flavor
- 1 12oz package of your favorite seasoned stuffing brand.
- 1 yellow onion chopped
- 2 green apples chopped into bite sized pieces.

Notes
You could use this recipe to stuff your turkey with - I just don't prefer this as it makes all stuffing soggy in my opinion.
Caramelizing your onion is a way to add extra flavor but isn't necessary.
