Hey there! We’re the crew behind Bull Butter Homestead in a small town located in central Utah – that’s us, three boys, and a bunch of homesteading adventures. So, why “Bull Butter”? Well, Justin’s got this thing where instead of saying “BS,” he goes with “oh bull butter.” It stuck, and we figured, why not make our homestead name just as unique as our daily vocabulary? Now, we’re not claiming to be pros at this homesteading / home bakery stuff. Most of the time, we dive into things headfirst without much research, and you can bet there’s a fair share of Bull Butter moments along the way.
Bull Butter started as just our homestead name but then I, Kourtney just a small-town country gal who accidently stumbled upon a successful cottage sourdough bakery business. Within just a few week of opening, I was selling out every week and nearly two years later, my bakery has become a well known name in our rural community. I’m proud to say that I could be busier if I wanted to be.
I may have stumbled into a home bakery business by accident, but I’ve been preparing for it my whole life. With 13 years in management, where I consistently ranked at the top of my district and region in sales, I’ve been a district trainer and an award-winning merchandiser. Growing up with entrepreneurial parents, I was literally born into the world of business (almost at a vendor event — my mom barely made it to the hospital!). Running a successful business is in my blood.
I’m here to show you how to build a thriving home bakery too – from baking tips to the ins and outs of small business success. I’m so excited you’re here. Lets get started.
